Angela has been exercising CrossFit style since 2007, with husband Evan. In her youth, she played soccer, volleyball, ran the 800m, and threw discus. She found CrossFit after baby #3 and hasn’t gotten on a treadmill ever since! She will welcome you with a smile and get your membership rolling! She enjoys the fun stuff like paying the bills, keeping the books, making the schedule, answering emails, AND she loves being a mom to Jack, Sophie, and Sam! Angela has a background in working for various local small businesses and non profit organizations, such as Discovery (House) Center, Red Rose Coffee House, Marina’s on the Square, Byrn Roberts Inn, and Covenant College Admissions. She also plays and teaches the violin. She says doing CrossFit is very much like playing an instrument: form is important, takes practice, and can be very rewarding when done well (or very frustrating when it’s not all coming together!). Angela has a BA from MTSU with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She believes that physical and mental health are not only related, but necessary to a well balanced life. It was a no brainer to start Crossfit Murfreesboro with her husband in 2008!
Suzie started crossfitting in 2009 at CrossFit Talon as a way to get stronger after she tore her ACL playing soccer in 2008. After that she transferred to MTSU and that is when she stumbled into CFM.Suzie got her level 1 in 2012 a year after she graduated high school, coached at CF Talon, and then started coaching at CFM in January of 2014. As Far as competitions go, she has competed at Regionals 4 times, once as an individual in 2011 and then on the CFM team in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Outside of CrossFit she has competed at university nationals for USAW twice and at the American open once. Her favorite movements are handstand push-ups and handstand walking but she also loves the Olympic lifts.

JV has been at CFM since 2011, and in her 5+ years with us, we believe she’s completed a total of only 17 WODs. She does the majority of her “workouts” at Taco Bell or any other Mexi restaurant in the greater Nashville area. As our handler, she knows all things CFM from the life stories of our newest members to the details of preparing our taxes. When she’s not working at the gym, she will be found on a beach (obviously, not doing handstands) or working one of her other million jobs. She has a BBA from MTSU in Accounting and Economics and is crazy about Jesus!
