How long have you been doing CrossFit?
-A little over 5 years. I started my junior year of high school.

What’s your favorite cheat meal?
-Cheeseburgers (plural) and a milkshake

What’s your favorite WOD?
-Murph. I love the mental challenge, and what it stands for.

What’s your least favorite WOD?
-Karen (150 wall balls for time)

What’s your favorite movement?
-Muscle ups. I also love lifting heavy even though it’s not always what’s best for me in a competition.

What’s your least favorite movement?
-Rowing. And thrusters. Also air squats. Do air squats even make you fitter?

What sorts of events would be great for CFM at Regionals?
-I think our team works really well together so any type of event that requires teamwork and communication would be good for us. We are also good at the higher skill movements like handstand walks, muscle ups, and snatch. The more technical the better.

What sorts of events would be not so great for CFM?
-Raw strength isn’t a huge strength for any of us so any type of 1RM lift probably wouldn’t be in our wheelhouse.

Who is your favorite A-List CrossFitter?
-Chris Spealler.

Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
– I make sure to eat a big meal the night before. Something clean that I enjoy. Usually steak and a sweet potato. As far as right before I compete, I pray, and try to get my mind focused on what I need to accomplish.

Besides CrossFit, what hobby or activity do you enjoy?
-Honestly CrossFit and Weightlifting are my two favorite hobbies. I look forward to them everyday and hate missing workouts. But I also like skiing, golfing, and being on the lake.

Do you have a MUST DO in your warm up?
-Lots of mobility. The rest of the team makes fun of me for how long I take to warm up. I focus on making sure my hips are loose so I can squat well, and I warm up my front rack position really well.

What’s one thing nobody knows about you?
I did a commercial for Sir Pizza when I was a kid
